Decatur has hit the blogosphere...

Opera blogger Susan has found Decatur...all 8000 of us. =)

Little known Indiana fact; baritone Nathan Gunn is an Indiana native. As is violinist Joshua Bell. Indiana rocks.

Sure Josh Bell is from Indiana, but what about me? Am I chopped liver? I can sing Billy Joel on karaoke, you know...

LOL Hi Lydia, yes, I've found Decatur.
I knew that NG was from South Bend, Indiana. I understand that LOTS of people live in Indiana. In fact, according to the US Census Bureau, in 2006 6,313,520 people lived there. Wow that's it? 8,724,560 lived in New Jersey that year, and NJ is 7790 square miles as opposed to Indiana's 36,185 square miles. Calculator time... so that's 174 and a half people per square mile in Indiana, and 1,120 people per square mile in NJ. Hmm my town is 1 square mile and had about 2696 people living there in 2000. Wow, above avg for NJ. Strange, it doesn't feel crowded.

So there's your geography, social studies and math lesson for the day. ;)
